The 3x21.7MW project is one of the RusHydro’s priority projects in the North Caucasus region. The RUR 8.5B scheme was financed entirely by the company.

The project features three radiaxial hydro turbines, which operate under an estimated pressure of 102m, produced by Russian firm Tyazhmash. Elsib provided the generators for the hydro plant.

Other components of the project include a fixed earthfill dam with a height of 35m, a 2.25km long canal basin and a 4.15km long derivational tunnel.
