Russia to supply power station equipment

Russian company Silovye Machiny has won the tender to manufacture and deliver equipment for the Vietnamese Pleikong and Sesan-3 hydroelectric power stations.

The total capacity of the Pleikong power station will amount to 120MW, and Sesan-3 to 274MW.

The main equipment to be supplied consist of Francis turbines and hydro generators to be manufactured at the St. Petersburg enterprises of the Silovye Machiny concern - Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod and Elektrosila. The manufacturing of the equipment, including project works, will begin in the first quarter of 2003, with construction of the hydroelectric power stations scheduled to be completed by the end of 2007.
