Santa Isabel hydro plant concession

ACONSORTIUM LED BY Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (CVRD) has won a 35-year public concession to build the Santa Isabel hydroelectric power plant in Brazil. The concession was sold by Brazil's national agency for electric power, Agencia Nacional de Energia Eletrica (ANEEL).

The plant is expected to be in operation within 84 months from the date of signing of the concession contract. The CVRD Consortium will pay ANEEL a sum of US$ 26.5M annually from the seventh to the thirty-fifth year of the concession.
