Small hydro to support Brazil?

4 November 2002

SMALL HYDRO POWER PLANTS should be utilised to help support Brazil's energy generation, according to Osvaldo Soliano, an advisor of Winrock International Brazil. Speaking in an interview with PCH Notícias & SHP News, Soliano said Brazil had a large potential of water resources and should 'go back to the old days when the small hydro power plants supported the country.'

He claimed that the potential for huge hydro plants was exhausted and small hydro had more potential.
