Small hydro update

CANADIAN HYDRO DEVELOPERS of Calgary, Alberta have announced significant progress at the 30MW Pingston hydroelectric project, located in southeastern British Columbia. Construction is coming along well at the intake facilities, as well as the 4km tunnel connected to the power house.

Construction of the power house will start in October 2001 and be completed by the end of the year. Work on the tunnel will continue during the winter months. Commissioning and startup is scheduled for July 2002.
