SMEC to study hydro projects in Malaysia

The State Government of Sarawak has initiated the development of the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy

(SCORE) Project with the objective of improving the electricity infrastructure in Sarawak and possibly beyond

state and national borders.

As part of SCORE, the Sarawak Government has commenced feasibility and concept phase evaluations for a program of major hydropower developments. The feasibility studies are at various stages of completion and include the Lawas, Limbang I, Limbang II and Trusan with planned installed capacities varying between 80MW and 200MW.
