SMEC wins Indian small hydro contract

The contract, awarded by the Uttarakhand Energy Department under the Asian Development Bank-funded Uttarakhand Power Sector Investment Program, will cover four small hydro projects with capacities ranging from 4MW to 10MW.

The five-year project also includes 785km of 400kV transmission lines, various 220kV lines and 132kV lines and a number of 400kV and 220kV GIS and AIS substations.
