SNAP-Magat planning new hydro in the Philippines

Dow Jones Newswires has reported that the company is looking to develop a 180MW project in Nueva Vizcaya and a 120MW project in Quezon province, and has applied for permits with relevant regulators.

If given the go-ahead, the Nueva Vizcaya project is likely to be a multi-purpose scheme including irrigation, and would be operational by 2017.
