Sossenkina named HDR’s National Technical Advisor for dams, levees & hydraulic structures practice

Sossenkina is a geotechnical engineer with more than 10 years of experience with dam and levee projects. A professional engineer, Sossenkina specializes in seepage studies, potential failure mode analysis, and dam/levee risk assessment. She is originally from Moscow, Russia, where she received bachelor of science and master of science degrees in mechanics and applied math, both from Moscow State University.
She is an active member of the Association of State Dam Safety Officials and the United States Society of Dams, where she serves on the levee committee. She has published several papers on geotechnical instrumentation and presented at national conferences and workshops.
