Tender: Consulting services, Lower Orange hydro scheme

NamPower is planning the possible development of several distributed hydr-electric power stations along the banks of the Lower Orange River.

The utility invites documented responses from companies or joint ventures that can undertake and have suitable experience in the provision of consulting services for the abovementioned works. The documented responses should contain information on the basis of which respondents will be pre-qualified for the submission of subsequent firm tenders for the works.

The responses received from this invitation will be evaluated by NamPower on the basis of companies meeting the necessary financial, legal, technical, management expertise, project references, insurability, compliance, quality assurance, time frame and other requirements as detailed in this questionnaire. Only parties that submitted responses to this invitation will be considered eligible to submit tenders for the rendering of consulting services.

The consulting services for the Project will be procured based on the FIDIC Client/Consultant Model Services Agreement 4th Ed (2006).

No pre-tender clarification or other meetings shall be held at this stage of procurement.

Please submit one original and three copies of the questionnaire in a sealed envelope marked “EOI for Services for the LOHEBS Project: Tender No.: NPWR/2010/26” and addressed to the Tender Administrator of the NamPower Tender Board. The submission is to be deposited into the tender box located at the entrance foyer at NamPower Centre, 15 Luther Street, Windhoek, Namibia.
