Three Gorges developer warned

The Beijing News reports that the company has ignored orders to halt construction of the Xiluodu, along with the Three Gorges underground power plant and the Three Gorges project electrical power supply plant.

On 18th January SEPA ordered construction to be frozen on 30 large scale Chinese projects. So far only 22 have complied, while the Three Gorges company has become the largest violator of the order, the paper said.

According to the Beijing News, if the company refuses to comply it can be fined up to 200,000 yuan (US$24,000).
