Tieton dam lined up for US$1M contract

The contract was awarded by the US Bureau of Reclamation’s (USBR) pacific northwest region, and is to include excavation at the base of the dam abutment, removal of the rock debris fence and installation of new fence material, hydro blasting debris from the right spillway wall and left face abutment, with the work expected to be completed by the end of October 2004.

Standing at 97m high, Tieton is an earthfill structure impounding Rimrock Lake and operated as part of the USBR’s Yakima project.
