Under the cover

17 August 2001

The cover image of the May 2001 issue of IWP&DC shows US-based Seattle City Light’s Gorge dam, which is part of the City of Seattle’s three-dam Skagit river development. The 720MW Hydro facility is located in the scenic North Cascades National Park in Washington, US. The photo credits had indicated that the image was Chelsea dam, also in Washington state.

At IWP&DC, we’re always pleased to receive good quality photographs to use as possible front covers. These can be striking shots of dams, hydro plants, reservoirs or equipment. To be considered, the photographs need to be good quality originals or can be emailed as jpeg or tiff files of a minimum resolution of 400dpi. They need to be as close to A4 size (15cm x12cm mini-mum) as possible. Please give a detailed description of the photo (project name, location - river and country) and who to credit if necessary.
