The 35MW project has been greenlighted on a build, own and operate (BOO) basis to Vinavico, in which Cavico Corp has a 17 % stake.
In a statement, Cavico said construction of the US$43.75M project would start later this year for completion in 2009.
Permission for the project to be built by Vinavico was granted by the Yen Bai People's Committee. The project is to be built in Dai Phac village, Yen Bai province.
