Voith Hydro, as a consortium leader, is responsible for the engineering, supply and commissioning of two vertical Francis turbines with a rated capacity of 51.8MW each. The scope of supply furthermore involves generators, inlet valves, and plant control systems.

Located in the Corum province, northeast of the Turkish capital Ankara, Kargi hydro power plant is Statkraft’s second power plant in Turkey. The plant will utilize the water of the Kizilirmak, Turkey’s longest river.
The project – scheduled for completion by the end of 2013 - is being developed by Akel Enerji A.S., a subsidiary of Statkraft Enerji A.S., which is 100% owned by Statkraft A.S.
