9 August 2013

Voith is to deliver three Francis turbines each rated at 220MW, together with associated equipment, to the Upper Kaleköy hydro plant in Turkey.

Voith won the order from Kalehan Enerji as part of a consortium, with its share valued at €30M.

The Upper Kaleköy project is part of a cascade of four storage plants, and is the second project Voith has worked on in the Murat River in Eastern Turkey. The company has also supplied equipment to the Beyhan-1 hydropower plant further downstream.
