World Bank, Australia to fund Mozambique water projects

The Mozambique Government will contribute $15m and the city of Maputo will provide $40m, according to Bloomberg.

Maputo will receive $50m while the Programme for Water Supply and Institutional Support will receive $37m, which includes additional funding of $13.1m from Australia.

The projects will increase water supply coverage to the cities of Angoche, Beira, Chimoio, Dondo, Gondola, Moatize, Mocimboa da Praia, Mozambique Island, Nacala, Nampula, Pemba, Quelimane and Tete.
