Alstom to work on El Quimbo project, Colombia

A consortium formed by Alstom and Colombian assembly company Schrader Camargo has signed a contract with Endesa subsidiary Emgesa for the supply and assembly of electromechanical equipment for the 400MW El Quimbo hydro power plant. The total value of the contract is EUR 90M.

Alstom wins €70M supply contract on Guanyinyan dam, China

DaTang Guanyinyan Hydropower Development Co. Ltd has awarded Alstom a contract worth approximately 70 million for the supply of three 600MW Francis turbine generator units to the new Guanyinyan hydropower station on the Jinsha River in Yunnan province, China. The first unit is due to enter commercial operation in 2014.

Alstom, as part of an EPC consortium with Camargo Correa and CNEC Worley Parsons, has announced the start-up of the first of four 214MW units at the Foz do Chapecó hydopower plant, located on the Uruguay river between the cities of Águas do Chapecó and Alpestre in Brazil. The plant began commercial operation on 11 October.
