Due to the shortage of finance and technology, many developing countries have to overcome various obstacles in order to develop small hydro projects. One such obstacle is the absence of international norms, To achieve an early normalization and standardization of SHP development, it has become necessary to compile a complete international norm on SHP so that global SHP exploitation could be stimulated effectively.
