Hydroelectric output can double by 2050, IEA report claims

The International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Ministry of Mines & Energy of the Federative Republic of Brazil have released a report showing how to double hydroelectricity production by 2050, an achievement that could prevent annual emissions of up to 3B tonnes of carbon dioxide from fossil-fuel plants.
