Vietnam’s Hua Na EPC contract awarded to Lilama

Lilama bid VND2,600B US$164M) to win the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract. The plant, which will have two units, is to be commissioned by 2011.

The client, Hua Na Hydropower Joint Stock Co, is building the project in Nghe An province at an estimated total investment of VND4.3B (US$271M). The development company was established in mid-2007 by founding companies Lilama and PetroVietnam.

The project includes construction of two supply tunnels, each 3,826m long and 7.3m in diameter. The flow rate is 198m3/s.

Other shareholders in the development company include the Military Bank, Sai Gon Joint Stock Commercial Bank and the Saigon Securities Co.
