Ukrainian nuclear company plans hydro project

Elektrotiazhmash company (Kharkiv) is expected to supply the generator's stator during October. The plant is now more than 90% complete and operation of the first phase of the plant is expected to begin in December of 2005. The first two units of the plant are expected to have a combined capacity of 300MW.

The plant, located in Yuzhnoukrainsk in the Mykolaiv region of southern Ukraine, should operate during the morning and evening periods when consumption is at its peak.
