Terra Drone Inc., headquartered in Tokyo and led by CEO Tokushige Toru, has signed a sales and distribution agreement with Norwegian industrial drone company UAS VOSS AS for its indoor inspection drone, the Terra Xross 1. The agreement marks Terra Drone’s full-scale entry into the Nordic market.
UAS VOSS AS, based in Norway and led by CEO Kenneth Kleppe, provides industrial drone solutions for inspection applications. Under the agreement, UAS VOSS will distribute the Terra Xross 1 across the Nordic region, targeting sectors including hydropower, power transmission and distribution, and offshore energy.
The Terra Xross 1 is designed for indoor inspections in confined or hazardous environments. According to Terra Drone, the system enables stable indoor flight and is priced at approximately one-third of comparable products. The company states that indoor drone inspections can reduce the need for manual entry into high-risk areas and improve inspection efficiency and cost performance compared with traditional methods.
Norway generates around 90% of its electricity from renewable sources, primarily hydropower. This creates ongoing demand for inspection and maintenance of power plants, substations, turbine halls, cable tunnels, and related infrastructure. The country also has a large oil and gas sector, accounting for about 60% of goods exports in 2024, with numerous producing offshore fields. These sectors require inspections in confined and potentially hazardous spaces, including offshore facilities and indoor energy infrastructure, where drone-based solutions are increasingly being considered.
Founded in 2022, UAS VOSS supplies industrial drone systems equipped with specialised inspection sensors. The company has worked on smart grid and infrastructure inspection projects and serves clients in the power and offshore industries. In 2025, UAS VOSS received the “Best Specialty Drone Operator 2025 – Norway” award at the Scandinavian Business Awards hosted by EU Business News. The company has also announced plans to expand its offshore drone inspection services by 2026.

Terra Drone stated that the agreement is expected to have a minor impact on its financial results for the fiscal year ending January 2026. The company said it will disclose any material developments if required.
