BHEL has worked on a number of hydro projects in Tajikistan. It commissioned a hydro generator for Pamir-1 project in Khorog and is presently executing the renovation, modernization and uprating of the Varzob-1 project.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has signed an agreement with Tajikistan’s Ministry of Energy and Industry to develop a 100MW hydroelectric project on the Zeravshan river in the country.
