Carpi Tech has finalized the waterproofing works on the upstream face of Santa Maria cofferdam in Sinaloa state, Mexico, the company said on its LinkedIn.

The 40m high dam forms part of the Baluarte-Presidio irrigation system, and will provide potable water for Rosario and Escuinapa.

The waterproofing used on the dam includes a patented system and Cari Tech’s Sibelon Geomembrane. Carpi Tech said the Geomembrane is exposed and in intimate contact with the surface placed during construction of the casting curbs.

The project is being developed by Conagua (Comisión Nacional del Agua) and Carpi Tech collaborated with ICA Ingenieros Civiles Asociados on the project.
