The Vietnamese contractor’s subsidiary Cavico Hydropower Construction is to construct a 3.9km long headrace tunnel, two sub tunnels of 650m in total length, and a 42m high surge tank.
Site preparation work begins during the first quarter of the year, and the contract period is 20 months.
The 37MW scheme is being developed by Song Giang 2 Hydropower Joint Stock Co with a US$50M budget, and is located near Nha Trang city in Khanh Hoa province. It is expected to generate 141GWh of electricity per year.
