The plant will have a designed capacity of 75MW and will cost US$51.9m to build, with 85% of the amount to be provided in the form of overseas development aid by the Japanese government.
Green light for Thac Mo
Electricity of Vietnam received permission from the Ministry of Industry in mid-June to construct the Thac Mo hydroelectric power plant on the Be river, according to the Vietnamese News Agency. Construction work will start next year and is scheduled for completion by 2008.
