This is to be followed by the commissioning of the project’s other two units, scheduled for the end of this year, according to reports from the Interfax news agency in China. Once fully operational, the plant will add 600MW to the hydro power generation capacity of China’s Wu river.

Work is being carried out by the Guizhou Wu River Hydropower Development Company, which is jointly owned by the China Hudian Corporation and the government of Guizhou.
