According to the Vietnamese News Agency, the two companies will establish a joint venture to build the plant, which will cost around US$271M to construct. Work is expected to start in the first quarter of 2008, with the plant scheduled to start generating electricity in the first quarter of 2011.
Hua Na agreement signed
Vietnam's state-owned PetroVietnam and Lilama companies have signed an agreement to build the 180 MW Hua Na hydroelectric power plant in the central Vietnamese province of Nghe An.
