Hydro power is the best way for Pakistan to bridge the gap between electricity generation and consumption. This will improve the ratio of low cost electricity in the system and stabilise tariffs, the Norwegian ambassador added.
Hydro co-operation on the cards for Norway and Pakistan
Norwegian Ambassador to Pakistan, Cecilie Landsverk, has said that Pakistan is on Norway’s priority list with a special focus on trade, investment and energy. Landsverk said that Norway has good expertise in hydro power and is ready to extend co-operation in this area of mutual interest. She said that Pakistan has fantastic potential and can generate large amounts of electricity through its hydro power resources to tackle energy shortfalls.
