Ingeteam Power Technology has won a contract from Endesa S.A. to modernise the dewatering system of the Tavascan hydropower plant in the Catalonian Pyrenees.
Under the terms of the deal, Ingeteam will supply control and automation equipment, complete electrical installation, test, and commission the dewatering pumps of this power plant.
The 45 year old Tavascan project is an underground power station which houses two Vertical Pelton turbines of 119MW, net head 898,50m and flow 14m3/sec, and one 32MW Vertical Francis turbine, with net head 247,30m and flow 14m3/sec.
