After several months of work with a group of experts, OpenHydro has opened a consultation on the guideline for climate mitigation reporting of hydropower assets.

The guideline has been designed to provide recommendations on understanding GHG emissions, reduction activities, carbon price, freshwater management, corporate-level reporting, and Net Zero targets. This version was developed through the working group on climate mitigation of the "Net Zero Climate Resilient Hydropower Initiative" and the pilot group, which tested the usefulness and practicality of the guideline during Spring 2022.
The consultation is open until 30th September and seeks views and input on the following:
- Appropriateness of the reporting recommendations
- Usefulness of the guidance provided
