According to reports, the two turbine project will include a 50km transmission line. A final report on the proposed scheme is due in the next few months, following which JICA is expected to sign a bilateral financing agreement with Angola.
Japan to fund Angolan hydro scheme
The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is to provide a US$50M loan to Angola to help build a 30MW hydroelectric project on the Cutato River, newswires have reported.
