Montanhydraulik GmbH is undergoing a significant change in its leadership team. Effective September 1, 2023, Jens Ennen has assumed the role of Chairman of the Executive Board (Chief Executive Officer) of the company. This transition comes as Dr. Ralf Becker, who served as the Chairman of the Management Board for over a decade, steps down to enjoy his well-earned retirement.
Jens Ennen's appointment marks the second personnel change within Montanhydraulik's management this year, following the promotion of Thomas Mittag to the position of Chief Sales Officer in July. The executive team has now expanded to three key members.
Dr. Ralf Becker's retirement marks the end of an era, as he played a pivotal role in shaping Montanhydraulik's 70-year success story. Known for his open and strategic management style, Dr. Becker was not just a leader but a true "Montaner" who deeply identified with the company.
Together with Josef Mertens, the longstanding Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Thomas Mittag, Jens Ennen will assume immediate responsibility for steering Montanhydraulik through the challenges of the future. As CEO, Ennen will oversee the company's operational business both nationally and internationally.
Bringing over 30 years of experience in leading positions within the crane and construction machinery sector, Jens Ennen is well-equipped for his new role. His track record includes serving as the CEO of a renowned mobile crane manufacturer in Europe, making him a recognized figure in the industry. Moreover, Ennen's history of collaboration with major crane manufacturers as a customer of Montanhydraulik positions him to leverage his extensive industry knowledge.
Additionally, Ennen boasts in-depth knowledge with Montanhydraulik's product range, owing to his prior involvement in the design and development areas of the company.
