The 210MW plant will cost US$242m to construct and will generate 815MkWh of electricity each year. Its reservoir will have a water storage capacity of 344Mm3. Construction work will be completed in 2008.
New hydro on A Vuong river
The damming of the A Vuong river in Mai Cooi commune in Quang Nam province started in late December, prior to the construction of a new hydroelectric power plant, according to the Vietnamese News Agency.
