Members who have used mentors in the past have found that the relationship enhanced their training and career development, guided them round procedural obstacles and pitfalls and improved their results by challenging assumptions.
“We believe members will achieve better levels of professional success if they have the guidance and help of a mentor,” Lynn Cooper, chief executive of the Institute of Water said. “The new service will form part of an overall learning, developing and networking framework that supports and develops the careers of members.
“As well as supporting younger members and those new to the industry by providing mentors, we are encouraging more experienced members to become mentors so they can share their knowledge and experience to help others progress.”
