Alstom joint venture wins US$17.7M hydro project in China

The contract, awarded by Qinghai AES-TB Power Company, is worth approximately US$17.7M. The scope of supply includes 4 Bulb turbines, generators, governing systems, excitation systems, and control systems. The first unit is expected to enter operation in the second part of 2004.

TAH is a joint venture formed in 1995 between ALSTOM (77%) and Tianjin Power Equipment Manufacture Company (23%). It currently has about 900 employees, including more than 100 engineers.
