UK-based Binnie Black and Veatch has appointed Pip Squire as divisional director of sales and marketing, while Craig Spence (left) has been made district manager for Stone Construction Equipment in the US. The European Investment Bank has also appointed Francis Mayer (right) as its vice-president.

CMS Cameron McKenna, a UK law firm, was said by the annual review of the UK’s legal market to have ‘the strongest international water practice’. CMS Cameron McKenna is advising on privatising water services in Bulgaria and Romania, and has advised on water projects in India, Panama, Poland, the Czech Republic and the UK in 1999.

Also in the UK, Dresser Industries, a subsidiary of Halliburton, has decided to sell its share of two joint ventures to Ingersoll-Rand.

The ventures are Dresser-Rand, which produces reciprocating compressors and turbo machinery products, and Ingersoll-Dresser Pumps.
