Changing faces

10 November 1998

New director of projects at Binnie black-veatch is Mike Hinge (picture), who will have responsibility to head the company’s engineer, procure, construct work. Hinge can claim 35 years experience in the construction industry, gained largely with Taylor Woodrow, where he was managing director of Taylor Woodrow Management Contracting.

At UK-headquartered engineering firm M J Gleeson roles have changed. The joint role of chief executive and chairman has been split. While Dermot Gleeson continues as executive chairman, David Eyre has taken on the post of group managing director — the first from outside the Gleeson family to have that role. Eyre was previously responsible for expansion of the group’s engineering operations, particularly in the water sector. His work will be continued by Bib Jukes, who has taken over Eyre’s post as managing director of the Engineering Division.
