CTG signs 4th agreement for Kohala Hydropower Project, Pakistan

The Kohala Hydropower Project in Pakistan is set to embark on its next development stage after China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) announced it has signed am Implementation Agreement with the country’s government – the last of four key concession agreements.

Kohala dam, a priority project in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), has an installed capacity of 1124MW and a designed annual output above 5100GWh.

Once operational, it is expected to significantly improve the local power supply and drive the social and economic development in Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJ&K).
