Electrowatt to supervise Peruvian hydro project

electrowatt Engineering will be supervising the construction of two Peruvian reservoirs by Egenor, which has been recently acquired by the US company Duke Energy. Electrowatt’s contract comprises the review of the construction design as well as construction supervision activities.

Two daily compensation reservoirs which have storage volumes of 525,000m3 and 125,000m3 will be used for the production of peak energy in the downstream Cañón del Pato power station. The station’s installed generating capacity has recently been increased from 154MW to 240MW.
