GE Power Systems acquires turbine control retrofit business

GE Power Systems has announced that it will acquire the turbine control retrofit business of Woodward Governor Company Global Services, based in Colorado, US.

The sale includes a product agreement from GE Power Systems for Woodward to supply controls to GE for application in the retrofit business. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The turbine control retrofit business delivers comprehensive control retrofit solutions for the end users of industrial turbines. Its primary focus is on the power generation, gas processing and hydro power/river control industries. The business provides experts in project management, site services, training and remote monitoring.
