Romanian hydropower producer Hidroelectrica and Austria’s Verbund Hydro Power GmbH are to work together to develop and implement new power projects, the companies have announced in a statement.
The firms have signed a memorandum of cooperation that covers the joint development of projects, implementation of design, construction and equipment, based on the newest solutions and technologies in the energy field.
The two companies also agreed to exchange information and know-how on energy dispatching, staff-free operation of power plants (through control centers), optimization of maintenance and repair activity and implementation of innovative solutions and technologies in the environment protection field, including the assurance of the longitudinal connectivity of water streams.
