Hundreds reported missing as dam collapses in Laos

At least 100 people are missing with several people reported to have died following the collapse of a dam in Southeast Laos.

According to local media reports, the hydroelectric dam collapsed in Attapu Province last night, sending floodwaters through a number of villagers. Lao News Agency has said that more than 6000 people have been made homeless.

The dam has been reported as Xepian-Xe Nam Noy dam, according to the BBC.
