Hydro delays in Nepal

18 December 2015

Construction of many hydropower projects started by Nepal Electricity Authority has been affected by the earthquake which shook the country in April, according to reports in the Kathmandu Post. The situation is being complicated further by fuel shortages following an Indian blockade which is contributing to projects not being completed on time.

Authorities say that Chameliya Hydropower, Upper Trisuli A, Kulekhani III and Rahughat projects have been hit hard.
