IHA central office vacancies – closing dates extended

Reporting to the iha Executive Director, the position of Programme Director is a multi-dimensional, senior role, and is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated professional to contribute to the strategy and work programmes of the Association. The Programme Director will play a key role in developing, advancing and implementing an array of pathways for the Association’s initiatives in the areas of sustainability, climate change, energy policy, water policy, and markets & investments including statistics.

The Programme Director will closely work with the IHA Executive Director and Business Director, and will oversee a unit of four to five staff working on IHA’s programmes. He/She will also be expected to develop a highly effective and productive working relationship with the organisation’s main constituent members, Board, Council, and partners, and act as an ambassador for the Association on behalf of the hydro power sector.

The IHA Sustainability officer role – reporting to the Programme Director - also involves developing, advancing and implementing an array of pathways for the Association’s sustainability initiatives, building on the work of the IHA-led Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Forum (HSAF).
