Kuenz supplies new trash rack cleaning machine for Uniper project, Germany

12 February 2020

A new trash rake machine from Kuenz is to be installed at Uniper’s Dingolfing power plant in Germany by November 2020.

Uniper Kraftwerke GmbH has decided to replace its existing hydraulic trash rack cleaning machine at the power station with the newly designed Kuenz rope trash rack cleaning machine type RRM-G60.

With a rack width of 2.6m, the machine will clean the inlets to a depth of 18m and a width of 56m in fully automatic cycle. In addition, the debris can be disposed automatically too.

When the intermediate storage container has reached the maximum fill level, the RRM-G60 will move to the bank and the debris will be pushed out into a container.

Thanks to the extended design of the storage container, large branches and logs can also be temporarily stored, using a loading crane, which saves additional time.
