•US-based Atlas Copco Wagner has appointed Ross Tilson (pictured) as vice president of marketing and sales. Tilson will oversee global sales and marketing efforts for all the Wagner construction equipment product lines.

•In the UK Binnie black-veatch has appointed Chris Parkinson as human resources manager. He joins the company from alstom Contracting and will be responsible for providing a new career development programme for staff, in line with the major expansion and development targets set in the company’s three-year strategic plan.

•AMEC has appointed Stuart Siddall as group finance director. He will play a major role in the continuing drive to remodel the company, according to AMEC.

•Caxios, part of the global energy and communication group Enron, has appointed Keith Noden to the position of company planning manager. He will be responsible for planning at all four Caxios sites in the UK.

•Hanson Engineers of the US has been placed among the top 500 design firms in the US by the trade publication, Engineering News Record. Hanson Engineers came in at number 211 on the national list. Companies were ranked according to revenue for 1999.

•Euro-Build Group has launched a web portal for the construction community at www.jackhamma.com. It intends to use the internet to allow the industry to communicate and transact more transparently in Europe. Knowledge management, discussion groups, ‘infotorials’, educational white papers, jargon busters and business guides are key features of the web site.
