New hydro planned for the Philippines

First Gen Corporation has unveiled plans to build three new hydropower plants in the Philippines with a total capacity on 102.5MW.

According to local media reports, the company is to invest around $470 million in the 32MW Bubunawan, 30MW Puyo and 40.5MW Tagoloan run-of-river hydro stations.

Bubunawan is expected to be the first to be developed, with work completed in the next two to three years
