11 May 2000

Three energy projects have been recognised by the national-hydropower-association (NHA) in the US, for their environmental accomplishments. They have been added to NHA’s ‘outstanding stewardship of America’s rivers’ list.

The three projects are Avista Corporation’s Clark Fork river projects on the Clark Fork river in Idaho and Montana, AmerenUE’s Osage power plant on the Osage river in central Missouri, and the Tennessee Valley Authority’s Norris hydro project on the Clinch and Powell rivers in northeast Tennessee.
